Dr Hopkins-Chadwick, PhD RN

Vice President, Research and Development

Dr. Hopkins-Chadwick, VP of Research at Revitalist, is a registered nurse, scientist, and 30-year US Army combat veteran with 35 years of experience leading healthcare in clinical, education, and research. With a Ph.D. in Nursing Research and a minor in Sociology, Denise’s clinical background is in ER, ICU, NICU & Transport. Denise’s research studies have been in work and families, best evidence clinical practices, and medical education & training with a focus on medical simulation. 

While serving in Iraq, she co-authored the first Human Research Protections Program (HRPP) document leading to international research assurance. Dr. Hopkins-Chadwick led the military medical education transformation headquartered at Fort Sam Houston, TX by bringing curriculum threading as the Director of the RN and LPN programs and finished out as the Dean and Vice Provost of the Army Medical Department Center & School, being only the second female and the first nurse to hold those positions. 

After retiring with maximum military service, Denise led the education & training arm of the new DoD & VA-wide electronic health record implementation and adoption. She is the co-inventor of the Precision Health Insight Tool (PHIT).
